Josie Seid
It was costumes that originally caught Jocelyn’s interest. She loved the crazy things you can do with color, how different things look close up from far away, and loved the power of costumes to transform into magic. Jocelyn graduated in her home town from the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts with a double major in costume construction and design, but it was The Wiz that made her want to be on the stage. Jocelyn’s appearances in Cincinnati included Big River and Little Shop of Horrors and the title role in Harriet Tubman. Locally Jocelyn has graced the stages of Stumptown, Profile, Artists Repertory Theatre, Lakewood Theatre and was seen most recently in Public House Theatre’s production of To Kill a Mockingbird. Jocelyn had a recurring dream for many years about a beautiful, unusual eye –she was irresistibly drawn to the iridescent flick of blue in this eye. Some years later she met a man who was to become a close friend. He had the eyes from her dream. She never had the dream again. Jocelyn says, “I love me some collard greens.”
