Lorraine Bahr

Lorraine is a two time Drammy Award winning actress [The Treatment, Sowelu Theatre & Lion in the Streets, Theatre Vertigo,] co-founder and Company Actor of Sowelu Theater, Director and Instructor.  Recent Acting credits include: The Missing Pieces (Peg), Bingo with the Indians (Donna) and bobrauschenbergamerica (Bob’s Mom) at Portland Playhouse; Lettice & Lovage (Lettice) at Lakewood Theater; The Hero (Cathy) at Sowelu Theatre; Anse & Bhule (Margeuritte) with Sowelu Film Prod. (antic. premiere spring, 2012.)  Recent Directing credits: The Zoo Story, Portland State Univ.; Willow Jade, Portland Playhouse; King Lear (co-director) Cleveland High and Much Ado About Nothing for PP’s Fall Festival of Shakespeare.  Ms. Bahr teaches Acting at Portland State University, Theatre/Movement for Young Musicians & Artists, and Playwriting with Writers In the Schools (Literary Arts, Inc.)  She is a Company Member of Portland Playhouse.
