CORINNE GAUCHER

Training Program Manager

pronouns: she/her/hers

Corinne is an actor, director, devising artist, and has considerable experience teaching and leading theatre education programs. Grateful for her own experiences making scrappy theatre as a kid, Corinne co-founded the Summer On Stage Program in 2009 which continues annually to this day at the historic Garde Arts Center in Southeastern Connecticut. She received her BA in Theatre from UNC Charlotte in North Carolina and moved to Portland to be a part of the 2014-2015 Apprenticeship Company as an Acting Apprentice. Following her apprenticeship, she was a recurring director in the Fall Festival of Shakespeare program before becoming staff in the Education Department. She has taught students in over 16 schools during her time with the Playhouse alone. When she is not working in theatre around town or creating her own work, she can often be found singing karaoke, and making friends with neighborhood cats.
