Fan, Hermione

Alexandra Nowak is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, but she has made her way all around the east coast and through the country. Most recently, she attended the Santa Fe University Art and Design in New Mexico until they shut their doors forever this spring. (Yes, it really happened. You can Google SFUAD for more info.) This is her first time living on the west coast, and she is loving the Portland rain after living in the deserts of New Mexico. Alex got into acting her freshman year of high school after a friend convinced her to audition for Hairspray. She got cast, fell in love with the stage, and has been involved in theatre ever since. Some of her favorite credits include Heather Duke in Heathers: The Musical and Evelynn in Actor’s Nightmare. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with the Portland Playhouse this season and can’t wait to immerse herself in all of the unique experiences Portland has to offer.
