Maeve Z O’Connor has been acting and singing professionally since her debut in Portland Playhouse’s Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson at 9 years old. She has since appeared in numerous shows around Portland, including Number The Stars (as Ellen), Left Hand of Darkness (as Sorve), Portland Opera’s Carmen (as a member of the orphan chorus) and all five previous years of A Christmas Carol at Portland Playhouse (various characters). She is an avid writer of short stories, poetry, and many plays, one of which is appearing in the upcoming Fertile Ground Festival of New Works. In addition to her near-constant involvement in theatre and music, Maeve can also be found debating with her Ethics Bowl team, writing speeches in Model United Nations and working on The Underground, a youth-produced radio show on KBOO FM. She is an active member of the Young Willamette Writers and is Village Home’s Thespian Vice President. She’s also beyond excited for her 6th year of A Christmas Carol!
