HEALTH AND SAFETY
HEALTH AND SAFETY AT PORTLAND PLAYHOUSE
It is the goal of Portland Playhouse to provide space for artists to thrive and audience members engage in productions and events in a safe and healthy way.
UPDATE: March 12, 2022
Though the statewide mask mandate is lifting, Portland Playhouse will keep its Covid safety protocols in place for the time being. To maintain a healthy environment for all of the people we welcome into our space we kindly request that all guests continue to wear a mask indoors, and show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test prior to entering.
We are a member of the Portland Performing Arts Vaccine Coalition and we are doing the following to help provide peace of mind to all who enter our theatre: Requiring proof of vaccination or a current negative test result from every patron entering the theatre.
Requiring masks that cover nose and mouth be worn at all times when at an indoor event at the Playhouse.
Operating under the guidelines of a Vaccinated Theatre Company as required by the Actors’ Equity Association.
Limiting concessions to water only inside the theatre.
VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE TEST REQUIREMENT
Everyone, of all ages, who attends a production, class, meeting or other event at Portland Playhouse must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the date of their visit. “Fully vaccinated” means that at least 14 days have passed since receiving the second does of a two-dose vaccine series or after receiving a single-dose vaccine.
Visitors must be able to show proof at the time of entry that they are fully vaccinated by showing either paper or electronic documentation (including a photo of your vaccination card), along with a photo ID.
Alternatively, visitors may provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a healthcare provider taken within 72 hours before your performance or event. Proof can be a physical test result, a photo of a test result, an email from a provider showing the result, OR an app verifying the test result PLUS a photo ID.
If you are unable to provide proof of vaccine or negative test at the time of the event, we will work with you to reschedule your visit, or, when available, exchange your physical ticket for an On Demand performance.

Lost your vaccination card? It happens. Visit here to request a copy of your vaccination record.
Appropriate masks that fully cover the nose and mouth and fit securely on the face are required at all indoor and outdoor events at the Playhouse. Gaiters and face shields alone are not accepted as face masks. To learn more about the appropriate masks styles and how to wear them, check out this guide.
TICKETS AND PLAYBILLS
As always, we use a paperless ticketing system. Simply state your name at our box office for entry to your scheduled performance.
Cast and crew bios, show descriptions, production photos and other show related information can be found on the production pages. You can access them from our Season 14 page.
We are currently limiting concessions purchases to water only. Patrons must stay masked except when drinking and recover their nose and mouth after drinking.
As we all know, things can change quickly. If a show must be canceled due to a virus-related event, if weather prevents a show from being performed, or if you are unwell, unable, or unwilling to attend, we offer a range of ticket exchange, rescheduling, and refund options. Please contact us if you have any concerns and together we can find an option that works best for you.
We look forward to seeing you healthy, happy, and here at the Playhouse
