A moment of reflection in a time of loss
It is with heavy hearts that we find ourselves acknowledging loss this week. One is of the literary legacy Ursula K. Le Guin. We had the honor of bringing her The Left Hand of Darkness to the stage a few years ago. Her ferocity and finesse of the fantasy genre will live on, though she will be greatly missed.
Deepening this heartache is the loss of former Playhouse Acting Apprentice Michael Pfieffer. Michael's unexpected passing has left us shaken, trying to reconcile the caring, charismatic person we know and love with the knowledge of this parting. We are thankful we knew his bright blue eyes, his dedication to improving his craft and his unabashed defense of all he loved and cared about. We hold him in our hearts, today and always.
